Philippines: FOE
The long flight to the Philippines sucks but seeing my family & friends there is always worth the sore tailbone. This post is dedicated to my family and friends back home in the Philippines. All photos were taken from my cellphone.
The first section are photos of my nephews and nieces. They are the third generation and the future of the Go family. I come from a large family and I lost count of us a long time ago. My youngest nephew in the Philippines is still in en utero and the eldest is in her mid 20s. Crazy right? Besides the fact that I am getting old, I love spending time with the young bloods and seeing if they cry when I pick them up. My wish for them is to learn legacy of their great-grandfather (the truest OG of his time) and to continue to give back through his foundation.
The second portion of photos are primarily of my family, my uncles, aunties, and cousins. What made this trip extra special was that I got to spend time with both sides of my family in the Philippines. Everyone on my dad’s side of the family immigrated to the America in the 70s/80s. Whereas, my mom was the only one who made it to America. I was able to spend time with family from Virginia, Michigan, Maryland, Illinois and even Canada! My dad and his siblings said the last time they were all in the Philippines together was when they were in college and single.
The last set of photos are of new friends that I made in the Philippines and some old friends that I reunited with from NYC and DET. It was great to see you all and I hope to see you soon!
